Mika is our very energetic Siberian Husky. I picked her up from a sled dog breeder in Boxford, MA which
explains the endless supply of energy, and the very high strength-to-weight ratio. A few people have commented that
she doesn't have a thick and fluffy coat that is typical of huskies. This is a result of years and years of selective
breeding to yield shorter coats to prevent the dogs from overheating during the all-out sprint races that this line of dogs
is bred for. Not to fear, she still keeps plenty warm during the cold New England winters. She has no problem
going for walks in zero degree weather!

Penny is the oldest of our children at 5 years old. She came into our home as a 6 week old kitten shortly after
my wife and I got married. Someone in town was giving away a littler of kittens, so we stopped by to see if one caught
our eye. At first, the little furball ran away from me and tried to hide under a parked car, but she seemed to be very
comfortable around my wife so we brought her home. Since then she's grown up to be a very loving cat, especially with
our 3 year old son. However, she is a bit grouchy and anti-social when company comes to visit. Just saving her
love for us, I guess.
Penny also has her own personal page. Check it out at Catster
