Go take a hike!

As you might have guessed, I enjoy hiking.  Ever since I was 5 years old in fact.  I climbed all of the 48 4,000 foot mountains in New Hampshire by the age of 11.  The list can be seen at the top of the Hiking Journal.  Currently, I hike mostly in North-central Massachusetts as it is close to home, although I should really classify it as strolling through the woods as the terrain here is not too challenging.

My siberian husky has really taken to trail running with me, so I've logged most of this years trail miles with her in front of me.  As you can tell by my list of recent hikes, we do a weekly loop of 4 miles of so around Tully Lake.  I also try to get out on the trail with my wife and three year old boy, but it hasn't been easy with the humid weather and the seemingly constant threat of thunderstorms.

Feel free to browse my list of recent hikes in the Hiking Journal.

I will never forget....

Every year on 9/11 hikers take to the 48 four thousand foot peaks of New Hampshire to fly the stars and stripes from the summit of all 48 peaks in rememberance of those lost on that horrible morning in 2001.
